Hi everyone! We ARE still alive...just a little too busy/crazy to keep up on the blog. We've been breaking arms, losing teeth, losing sleep, playing in the snow, crying, pooping, eating...you know. The usual.
Tim's getting along okay working a job and a half and going back to school. Some days are better than others, of course, but all in all things are okay. We don't see him much, so we try to make the time that he is home count. We make sure he changes as many diapers as possible :)
He got released from Young Men since he's never around on Tuesday nights anymore, and he'll be taking on a new and interesting calling involving Camp LoMia.
Laura's been lighting Christmas trees for Anderson's to make an extra buck or two, and working a few days a week at Anderson's. It's a naughty store to work at because she's always wanting to buy the cute and expensive things they have there. Young women is fun, and challenging, as always. This is one of those "growing" callings, if you know what I mean.
Cyrus is the one who's been losing teeth. He's lost three just in the last two weeks. And all at school. I can't ever remember pulling my own teeth out, but I think he's pulled out all but one of his teeth by himself. Crazy kid. He's LOVING first grade. And he's totally picked up on drawing. He comes up with some pretty cute stuff. He's also really into Legos, and is loving the book, "How to Train Your Dragon" by Cressida Cowell.
Sonora is as spicy as ever. She's the one that broke her arm...playing "camel" on her uncle-to-be's back. They had just finished watching Aladdin, and she and Cyrus wanted to ride a camel, so Jake kindly obliged and let them ride around on his back . Unfortunately, when they slid off after the camel ride, Sonora landed funny on her arm and broke it, just below the shoulder. So now her two favorite things to tell everyone are: "I'm four!! I broke my arm!" She sings her heart out around the house. She's been making up quite a few new songs, some about how she can't marry her cousin. Some about how she chooses the right and Cyrus doesn't. Some about how mean Mom is. Such interesting topics...maybe she'll be a songwriter when she grows up :)
Macey is too dang cute. She's talking a blue streak and destroying everything she can lay her hands on. At least they're clean hands, though. She's always saying, "I sticky!" and holding her hands out to me so I can wash them. She likes to wrestle Cyrus and pull Sonora's hair. And she loves group cheers at bedtime. Also, group hugs, which she calls "poo-gugs."
Life goes on in a whirlwind. We spent this last weekend visiting with my (Laura's) parents because they are leaving to go on a mission today. It will be so crazy to not see Grandma and Grandpa for so long. Thank heavens senior missionaries can call home whenever they want! How did people survive before telephones??
I know it was a quick update, but that's as good as it gets around here! I need to upload some pictures, but that will have to be later :( Till next time!
