So, I set this blog up six months ago, and have never told anyone about it, and have never added to it.
Talk about Slacker City!
Today I'm turning over a new leaf....Everyone...here is my blog! I promise to update it at least twice a year :) Hopefully more.
Things are going freezingly here. We are all anxious for spring....hoping that it comes gradually, though, so that we don't have a pool in the basement. We had plenty of water down there last spring and it really increased my stress levels.
Tim's slaving away at work at Andersons and 'the Beav' ski resort. He's going "winter camping" this weekend with the scouts. They are supposed to be digging snow caves, but I think they're actually going to stay at his boss' cabin up Logan canyon. Nice, huh?
I'm busy with the kiddos and YW...they put me in as first counselor last October. We're gearing up for girls camp in June....I'm the counselor over that, and I'm really excited. My camp director is really nervous about it all, but I'm confident in her, and of course I LOVE girls camp, so I'm ready for it!!
I also try to spend as much time as I can with MaeLynn. This has been one of the hardest things I've gone through in my life, if not THE hardest. If you haven't checked out her blog it's maelynnsjourney.blogspot.com I've been trying to keep that updated for her.
I also have a new favorite website: goodreads.com. You can keep track of all the books you read or want to read. You can review and rate books you've read, and then your friends will know which books they may want to read. You can look at books other people have read and see what THEY'VE said about them. I've been in a book club for the last year or two, and I have loved it! This month we're going to read Tess of the D'Ubervilles. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Cyrus is busy in kindergarten. He's actually the student of the week this week! He just lost his first tooth two weeks ago and is so thrilled about it. He is quite the helper around the house, and will do anything if I make him a list. (He takes after his mother)
Sonora may start losing teeth if I don't keep up with her. I took her to the dentist yesterday and she has five cavities!!! She's only three! She also recently got her first extreme haircut (after doing a little trimming herself.) Her favorite things to say are, "You're not my fwend anymoh!" and "I love you mom....I need a huggy."
Macey is crazy! She's started climbing on everything she possibly can. The ladder to Sonora's bunk bed, a stool next to the bathtub, stairs and ladders at Lowe's....you get the picture. She's dang cute, though, and she loves her dad.
Life is busy and wonderful. I know we should treasure every moment....and just keep swimming!
